Classic RPG Chrono Trigger Arrives on Steam

Get prepare for a blast from the by, 90s gamers: the classic Japanese function-playing game Chrono Trigger has arrived on PCs.

In a surprise motion, Foursquare Enix just released the beloved game on Steam; it'southward available at present for $14.99. Bank check out the launch trailer below.

"As the story unfolds, embark on a journey to unlike eras: the present, the eye ages, the futurity, prehistory, and ancient times!" the game's Steam description reads. "Whether you're a first-time histrion or a longtime fan, this epic quest to save a planet's future promises hours of enthralling adventure!"

Originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, Chrono Trigger was developed by Yuji Horii, Akira Toriyama, and Hironobu Sakaguchi – creators of the Dragon Quest, Dragon Brawl, and Last Fantasy series, respectively – and has been chosen one of the best RPGs of all time.

Square Enix said it updated the game's controls, graphics, and audio to make this version "the definitive version of CHRONO TRIGGER!" It features the aforementioned animated cutscenes, Dimensional Vortex, and Lost Sanctum dungeons that onetime players volition recall from the original.

This version is simply available for Windows PCs; it requires an Intel Cadre i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, an Intel HD Graphics 530, and 2GB of bachelor space.

Those who buy the game past April 2 will get a express edition version with some bonus content, including a Chrono Trigger "medley consisting of 5 songs: Far Off Hope, Wind Scene, Battle with Magus, Corridors of Time, and Chrono Trigger" plus composer Yasunori Mitsuda's digital liner notes, and a collection of 6 wallpapers for your PC.
